Service Location Mode
A few definitions will facilitate understanding the following sections.
- Customer: the name of the business or person receiving your Services.
- Site: an address, Joe's Burgers (Customer) may have two restaurant locations (Sites)
- Service: what you provide, if you pickup refuse and glass from Joe, you perform two Services.
- Load Name: a unique identifier assigned to each Service you perform. This must be unique throughout the entire database. The load name is limited to 16 characters, the load name for glass at Joe's Main Street restaurant might be "JOE MAIN GLASS"
- Manual Load Names: the load name is provided by the user. This might be imported from an existing routing system or derived from the Customer name. See Previous item. Manual load names are available in every configuration.
- Auto Load Names: the load name is automatically created by the software from a manual load name base, the Service Type, and a item number. Service Types in the database have text names and each is assigned an upper case letter by the software, so refuse might be 'A', glass might be 'B', etc. So for example if the load name base was JOE MAIN, then the first refuse container at Joe's Main Street restaurant would be "JOE MAIN.A1", if there were a second, it would be "JOE MAIN.A2". Auto load names are only available in configurations where there are multiple Services at each Site.
